The number shown here is the tactical position number displayed on the pitch. The player keeps their roster number on the roster and bench.
Change Tactical Position
Choose an open tactical position to move there directly, or choose an occupied position to swap both players' roles and locations. Roster numbers stay with the players.
How to use it
1. Set your base formation. This is the team structure you want to keep. 2. Use Game Situations to see how players in that same formation reposition for a coaching problem. 3. Use Return to Base Shape at any time to remove the scenario adjustment. 4. Drag the ball anywhere on the pitch to set the game situation. 5. Select an on-field player to Send to Bench without replacing them, or use Bench All to clear the field. 6. Select an on-field player and choose Swap Position to move into an open tactical position or exchange roles with another player already on the pitch. 7. Click one player, then another, to draw a tactical connection/arrow. 8. Double-click players to edit their details and ratings. 9. Pitch markers use tactical position numbers 1–11, not roster numbers. 10. For a substitution, click Sub In on a bench player, choose the tactical position they will occupy, then confirm. If that position is occupied, that player comes off; open positions can also be filled directly. 11. Roster numbers stay with each player and remain visible on the roster and bench. 12. The roster supports up to 25 players. 13. Named roster configurations preserve the selected formation, starting lineup, bench, and tactical assignments. 14. Saved tactical setups additionally preserve match-specific board state.

Set each affected player's destination. “Bench” removes a player; selecting a position adds or moves them. All rows apply simultaneously.
